In the franchise’s first two years in North Carolina, it played its home games at the Greensboro Coliseum while waiting for its permanent home to be built in Raleigh. The new arena opened up for the Hurricanes’ 1999/00 season as the Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena. Three years later the name was changed to the RBC Center, and now it is the PNC Arena Center. The 700,000 square foot arena cost $158 million to build, and is not only home to the Hurricanes, but also the NCAA’s North Carolina State University men’s basketball team.

The PNC Arena Center also hosts a myriad of concerts and family shows during the year as well. For hockey games, the arena can sit 18,176 guests. It also features three concourses, 66 suites, and a large restaurant on the Club Level.
